I Kings 19:7 (NLT)
Then the angel of the Lord came again and touched (Elijah) and said, “Get up and eat some more, or the journey ahead will be too much for you.”
The angel helped Elijah pay attention to the condition of his body as the vehicle that would enable him to take the journey that lay ahead. If he did not care for his body, the journey into the presence of God would be too much for him. How are you caring for your body? Are the busy demands of life (home, family, career, church) leaving you exhausted? Create space for rest and renewal. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit (I Cor. 6:19). Take care of your temple!
