DAILY DEVOTIONS – FRIDAY OCTOBER 9, 2020

Mark 9:9 (NIV)  As they were coming down the mountain,  Jesus gave them orders not to tell anyone what they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead.

Consider how many others Jesus asked NOT to tell what they had seen:  the parents of the girl raised from the dead (Luke 8:53-56);  the man healed of leprosy (Luke 5:12-15);  and Peter,  James,  and John coming down from the Mount of Transfiguration (Mark 9:9).  Miracles are only a burst of power upon the seen world to create hunger for the unseen world;  and if a person follows the divine hunger,  that person will be led to God.  Deny the hunger and be lost.  Faith must be established in a person’s heart—that is where the Kingdom of God is—within you!  Remember that the risen Christ did NOT reveal Himself to any of his accusers—only his followers.  Cherish the revelations that Christ brings to you but be careful in who you tell.  Naysayers will fill you with doubt and cause unbelief to sabotage your experience.
