Deuteronomy 4:29-31 (focus verse 29 NLT) But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find Him if you look for Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
God knew the days would come when Israel would go astray and want to be like the other nations who had a king, who lived apart from the laws of God. Their resistance to God would lead to the loss of His overshadowing protection, the loss of their divine mission, and to the awful reality of enemy armies overtaking their Promised Land. But here, on the cusp of entering the land, God gave them a promise. He gives us that same promise. No matter how we have sinned or strayed from God, if we seek Him, we will find Him if we look for Him with all our hearts and souls. Have you found that to be true in your own life? It can be a long walk back, but He will receive you, just like the Prodigal son’s father welcomed him home (Luke 15).
