DAILY DEVOTIONS – MONDAY JUNE 14, 2021

Acts 7:25 (NIV) Moses thought that his own people would realize that God was using him to rescue them, but they did not.

Moses failed in his attempt to deliver God’s people, (when he went to the defense of the Israelite and avenged him by killing the Egyptian -vs. 24), because he acted in self-effort and the impetuosity of the flesh and not in reliance upon God.  God’s work must be done God’s way.  “All the knowledge and wisdom acquired in Egypt’s institutes of learning was not adequate to equip Moses for God’s work.”  His flight into the wilderness would take him into a different kind of classroom that would equip him in different kinds of ways for the enormous job that was ahead.  God intends to use every chapter of our lives to build our character and to equip us for divine assignments.  Are we learning our lessons?  Or are we locked into ways of thinking and doing life that keep us circling in redundancy?  God has plans for you.  How are you learning and growing?  How are you different today than you were a couple years ago?  Are you serious about Biblical literacy?  Don’t depend on your natural abilities to produce supernatural results.  Live connected to Christ.
