DAILY DEVOTIONS – SATURDAY NOVEMBER 7, 2020

John 14:27 (NKJV)  Peace I leave with you.  My peace I give to you;  not as the world gives do I give to you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Do you need to repent over the ways you have searched for peace from sources other than God?  Lay at the Lord’s feet the parts of your heart that are filled with worry.  He wants to rule and reign in those places.  Jesus wants to give you sustained peace as you yield your meditations to Him.  He will give you calm in the middle of life’s crazy storms.  When you know He is with you,  you can relax and trust His overarching perspective and power.  We need to make a break with any relationship we’ve had with worry,  anxiety,  or fear because they are not part of our spiritual inheritance in Christ Jesus.  God wants His people to be known for peace and love,  justice and righteousness.  When the world looks at the Church of Jesus Christ,  do they see the same qualities as everyone else?  Or do they see people who are grounded in peace,  unafraid and courageous,  loving and kind?
