DAILY DEVOTIONS – THURSDAY APRIL 29, 2021

Matthew 26:75 (NIV)   Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken:  “Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.”  And he went outside and wept bitterly.

Most of us can point to past regrets.  All of us can identify things that we should have done differently—mistakes made, unwise choices.  “But we cannot confidently face the future if we are locked in regret.”  We have to make honest appraisals of our lives, but more than that, we need to be able to look into the future and all that we can be through Christ.  We must recognize the tremendous potential that is ours due to the grace of God.  Do you reflect too often on your failures?  Have you learned to bring them to the Lord in prayer and find His grace sufficient for your weakness?  Life is complicated.  It is filled with unending learning curves.  Let’s have grace for ourselves, as well as one another, as we walk this journey together.
