DAILY DEVOTIONS – TUESDAY JUNE 16, 2020

Hebrews 13:5-6 (NLT)  For God has said,  “I will never fail you.  I will never abandon you.”  So we can say with confidence,  “The LORD is my helper,  so I will have no fear.  What can mere people do to me?”

Lysa TerKeurst says,  “The peace of our souls does not rise and fall with unpredictable people or situations.  Our feelings will shift,  of course.  People do affect us.  But the peace of our souls is tethered to all that God is.  And though we can’t predict His specific plans,  the fact that God will work everything together for good is a completely predictable promise.”  As we hold tightly to God’s Word,  it wraps our souls with steady assurance.  God will lead us,  comfort us,  guide us,  walk with us,  and prepare the best for us as we live fully devoted lives unto Him.  What do you fear?  Whom do you fear? Every great man or woman in the Bible heard these words:  Fear not.  “Push past the fear and you will find courage” (Jill Briscoe).
