DAILY DEVOTIONS – WEDNESDAY AUGUST 18, 2021

Exodus 33:18-34:17 (NIV focus verse 6…The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin.  Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished…

What a remarkable glimpse we have of a supernatural interaction between God and a mere man!  Moses received a new revelation of God (which he used in the interest of others – verse 34:9).  Have you experienced anything similar in your walk with the Lord?  Can you point to moments when He came close to you, and you became aware of His presence and His calling?  I can.  We must never forget those critical, lifechanging, empowering moments.  We must cherish them.  God did, indeed, reveal Himself in a profound way to His servant.  Do you want to know God like that?  Study Jesus.  Study the Bible.  Open your heart to the Holy Spirit and He will draw near to you.  Call unto me, and I will answer you, and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know (Jeremiah 33:3 – NIV).
