Psalm 45:1 (NIV) – God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
THE TRUTH is that life is hard. The lie is that “God should fix my problems.” God is not our cosmic genie. He does not run to serve us when we ring the bell. And the goal in life is NOT to be “free from all problems—to get rid of everything that is difficult or unpleasant. Our society is conditioned to think that we should not have to live with problems—that every problem must be fixed.” We live in a fallen world in which disease, loss, pain, and death exist. We take comfort in knowing that God is our “safe place in which to hide” and “ready to help when we need Him” (The Message). He molds and shapes our lives and reveals His grace and power in the middle of it all. We can trust Him to give us what we need when we need it. Thank God for His help.
