Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of Him but also to see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead. So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and putting their faith in Him.
The paparazzi quickly learned about Mary and Martha’s dinner and pressed into the outskirts of the scene. No more private moments remained for Jesus. In just days He would be stripped and hung naked on a cross amid the jeers of angry, bloodthirsty people. Jesus understands your worst experience in humiliation because He lived it, too! That is why He can hold you close and minister peace into your heart. Fix your eyes on Jesus. Lean into His strength. He will carry you through whatever heartache you face today.
