Exodus 5:2 (NIV) Pharaoh said, “Who is the Lord, that I should obey him and let Israel go? I do not know the Lord and I will not let Israel go.”
Kingdom work is not easy. Evil will not release its grip and seeks to find expression through people who yield to it. God dealt severely with Pharaoh to answer his defiant question, “to compel recognition of and submission to the sovereignty of God” and as a universal testimony to the power and sovereignty of Jehovah God.
