DEVOTIONS – FRIDAY JULY 12, 2019

II Kings 6:16-17 –  And Elisha prayed,  “O Lord, open his eyes so he may see.”  Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes,  and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

What do you see when you look at your life?  Sometimes we need an eye-opening  “ah-ha”  moment so that we can discover God’s reality rather than living consumed by our own realities.  Elisha saw what his servant could not see—the heavens were filled with God’s mighty army.  Only as he prayed for his servant was the servant able to see that army more powerful than all of the king’s soldiers.  Pray for God’s perspective as you walk through life.  Ask the Holy Spirit to help you interpret the realities around you by the light of God’s Word.
