DEVOTIONS – FRIDAY MARCH 20, 2020

Exodus 17:1-4 (NIV)  …They camped at Rephidim, but there was no water for the people to drink…Then Moses cried out to the Lord “What should I do with these people?”

The perpetual conflict between the will of man and the will of God makes the “School of Submission” one of the most difficult and necessary schools of Divine Providence. Persistent refusal to submit to the sovereignty of God involves the risk of eventual open rebellion against God. Such submission may be seen in learning how God chooses an instrument (Isa. 45:9-13) or how He prepares an instrument (Isa. 54:11), or how He discards of an instrument (Psa. 75:5-7). Rest and peace come when we learn how to submit to the Lord’s authority over every part of our lives.
