DEVOTIONS – SATURDAY MARCH 21, 2020

Exodus 17:8, 11-12 (NIV)  While the people of Israel were still at Rephidim, the warriors of Amalek attacked them. As long as Moses held up the staff in his hand, the Israelites had the advantage. But whenever he dropped his hand, the Amalekites gained the advantage. Moses’ arms soon became so tired he could no longer hold them up. So Aaron and Hur found a stone for him to sit on. Then they stood on each side of Moses, holding up his hands. So his hands held steady until sunset.

This is the “School of Conflict.” The challenge of the world, the flesh, and the devil to our progress in God is used as an opportunity to teach our hands to war and our fingers to fight (Psalm 144:1)—to perfect us in the skill of overcoming by cooperation with God in the employment of his limitless resources. He has resources for us in battles with temptation (Matthew 4:1-11), with opposition (Jer. 11:19-21; 28:1-11), and in suffering (Job 1:6 thru 2:10; and 42:1-6). Are you in a school of conflict today? God has unlimited provision available for you.
