Joshua 1:2-3 (NIV) “Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you…get ready…”
God told Joshua that the past was over and it was time to move forward without looking back. In each of our lives there comes a time of transition when we have to stop looking in the rear-view mirror of life and must begin concentrating on the road ahead. While we appreciate the past, we lean into the future knowing that God is already there and we have a mission to accomplish. Joshua saw walled cities and intimidating, godless people. But three times the Lord encouraged him with the words “Be strong and courageous.” Where do you need to focus? What transition are you experiencing? Remember, God will be faithful to bring you into His preferred future for your life. Be strong and courageous. He will accomplish His mission through you as you stand in faith and walk boldly one step at a time.
