DEVOTIONS – TUESDAY DECEMBER 31, 2019

Matthew 2:16 (NIV)

Can we even begin to comprehend the suffering imposed on the families in Bethlehem as a result of one man’s hysterical fears?  This was typical behavior for Herod,  who murdered even his own family members.  This spirit of murder lives on in the hearts of evil rulers around the world today.  God sees injustice and cares about broken lives.  He is the God of justice and no evil deed escapes Him.  He has given His Church to the world to act as a conduit of His love,  mercy,  and care.  How are we relieving the pain and oppression of those around us?  How are we feeding,  clothing,  and protecting those who are unable to care for themselves?  Today,  pray also for the innocents throughout the world who suffer under the dictatorship of evil men.
