Luke 1:26 (NIV) …God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee.
Notice that the angel began the conversation with Mary by using two strong affirmations: that of God’s love, and that of God’s presence. Knowing that God loves us and that He is with us are two essential truths that provide a strong foundation for life and service. God knew the hardships that would come to Mary. She would face emotional highs and lows beyond what any of us experience. She would need to remember Gabriel’s words when people misunderstood and accused her. Gabriel’s words provided a spiritual anchor for her fragile soul. Never forget that God truly loves you—fully, completely, just as you are. Walk confidently with Him because: You are highly favored. The Lord is with you (vs. 28).
