DEVOTIONS – WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 18, 2019

Acts 16:10 (NIV) –  After Paul had seen the vision,  we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia,  concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.

“God uses a variety of ways in calling a person,  not the least of them being an inner awareness or an intuitive knowledge,  a deep assurance with or without any other complementary means.”  Even these days it can come as an audible voice  (Acts 9:1-6),  or by a prophetic utterance  (Acts 13:1-2),  or by a vision  (Acts 16:9).  It is the inescapable reach of God that causes us to know that the mighty hand of God is upon us to be His partner in accomplishing His good and specific purposes through our lives.  It requires faith because we never know the full plan before starting the long walk of faith with Him.  “By faith Abraham…went out not knowing where he was going”  (Heb. 11:8).
