Acts 9:36 – “In Joppa, there was a disciple named Tabitha (which translated is Dorcas) who was always doing good and helping the poor.” Desiring to follow in her footsteps, Dorcas’ Daughters at WEAG began in June 2016 with a handful of ladies. We have grown expeditiously since then!
We are a group of women endeavoring to help those less fortunate through our crafting. Partnering with local and foreign mission ministries to reach the poor by recycling plastic bags into woven sleeping mats for the homeless, crocheting, knitting or weaving lunch satchels, tote bags, hygiene clutches and braiding jump ropes
Now expanded into sewing, we sew simple dresses, shorts
Be it crafting at home, distributing hygiene kits, stuffing Easter Eggs/Christmas stockings, sewing, or weaving each Friday morning, we look forward to a member-led devotion and warm fellowship. If you can flatten a crumpled plastic bag we need you!
