It’s that time of year when our ministry partners are collecting Christmas gifts for children, cold weather gear for the homeless and food for the hungry. Since most people are still attending services online in the comfort of their home, it’s challenging to collect items our partners can use, so we especially need your help during this particular year.
NEEDS FOR THE HOLIDAYS
RICHMOND FRIENDS OF THE HOMELESS

New toys for the Christmas store – enabling parents to purchase a Christmas toy for their child at greatly reduced prices. Here are some suggestions:
Skateboards, Arts & Crafts, Sports Equipment (Basketballs), Building Blocks, Electronics, Toy Cars/Trucks, Bikes, African-American Dolls, Educational Toys, Gift Cards to fast food restaurants (McDonald’s, Burger King, Chick-Fil-A).
Now through December 13
Our school partners (John Marshall HS and Quioccasin MS) are still giving out food to families in need. Youth Life Foundation’s families as well as some of our ESL, Latino and WEAG families have benefited from past donations of items from our Love Cupboard. We currently need canned vegetables, fruit, pasta and sauces, boxed mac & cheese, cereals, oatmeal, grits, peanut better, jelly, nabs, crackers, soups, meat, tuna, and bottled juices.
HOW TO GIVE
- Drop your gift in any indoor mission bin on Sundays.
- Drop your gift in the WEAG Missions rolling bin outside of the back entrance to the mission room at the WEAG loading dock – it’s clearly marked. We check it daily – Monday through Thursday.
- If you can’t be with us on Sundays, your donation should be in a plastic bag and marked for the particular ministry you would like to support. Collection dates vary for each ministry and are listed.
Thanks for your help this year, as we make the holidays and every day a bit brighter for our partners and those they serve. Your financial gifts and prayers sustain each of the 106 individuals, families and ministries that we support on a monthly basis. We couldn’t do it without each of you!WEAG Missions
