Dr. Shane Schlesman
Shane has served at WEAG for over thirteen years. With a background in business and family ministry, Shane understands the needs of families today. He and his wife Sue have 3 sons – Bruce, Brent, and Brady.
Dr. Dave DeMasters
Dave is a native Richmonder who hails from Texas. Dr. Dave serves as the Family Life Pastor and provides direct ministry leadership in Marriage & Parenting, Congregational Care, and Counseling. Dave holds a D.Min/Counseling and MDiv degree, as well as a Masters in both Leadership and Psychology. Dave is married to Amy and they have two adult children, Josh and Chelsea.
Tony joined the WEAG staff in 2010. He is passionate about seeing the lives of people impacted by worship and oversees the development and ministry of the WEAG worship teams. Tony received his BA in Church Music/Vocal Performance from Lee University. Before coming to Richmond, he served as a Worship Pastor for 12 years in Florida, Texas, and Alabama. John grew up attending West End Assembly of God and is the Online Campus Pastor. He wants to help create an impactful atmosphere of community for our online ministry. John received his B.A. in Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University and his MATS from Liberty University. John and his wife Nikki love being in ministry together and spending time with their twin boys.
Lisa came on staff in 2008 and oversees WEAG’s Family Ministries. Prior to WEAG, she served as a Chi Alpha campus missionary for 3 years. Lisa has a desire to disciple others and to share her passion for loving the world. Lisa is a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God, received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado, and an MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Marlyn has served at WEAG for 30+ years. She is an ordained minister, published author and speaker, and recognized leader in ministry to women. She has led multiple mission trips to provide conferences around the world that inspire women to live their best lives through Jesus Christ. She has built a wide variety of opportunities at WEAG for women to be involved in Bible studies, experience healthy and supportive communities, and engage in serving experiences. Moises has overseen WEAG’s Latino Ministry through weIglesia de Bendición since August 2015. He has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Mechanical Engineering, a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from the Faculty of Theology in Cuba and in the United States, a Bachelor of Arts in Bible from the Faculty of Theology in Cuba and a Master of Divinity degree at United States Faculty of Theology. Mike is the director of WEAG Media/IT, which records and produces still and video media that is used in our weekly services. This department is also responsible for maintaining the churches technology and IT structure. Mike and his wife, Gina, moved to Richmond from southwest Virginia and began attending WEAG in 1988. They have three children.
Susan has been a part of the WEAG family since 1990 and a Family Life staff member since 2000. Families and children are extremely important to the life of WEAG. Susan coordinates the administrative needs for Family Life and our Kids Pastor, managing projects and budgets for ministries involving children ages 0-5th grade. Miles was born and raised in Dover, Delaware. After high school, he lived in Prince George’s County, Maryland for six years before moving to Richmond, Virginia in 2014.
