Exodus 23:9 (NIV) “Do not oppress an alien; you yourselves know how it feels to be aliens, because you were aliens in Egypt.”
Rev. Walter Beutler comments on these passages: “Moses, in the school of divine providence as a stranger in a strange land, is taught understanding and compassion for the heart of a stranger so as to be better qualified to lead God’s strangers out of a strange land into the home of their possession.” Have you ever felt like an alien, a stranger?
