John 14:21 (NIV)
Whoever has my commands and obeys them, He is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father; and I too will love him and show myself to him.”
God wants to show Himself to us. He wants to visit His people. How does He do that? He answers prayer (I Sam. 2:21). He providentially intervenes (Zeph. 2:7). He fulfills His promises (Luke 1:67-70). He supernaturally delivers (Luke 7:15-16). He personally reveals (John 14:21). This desire for God is not a one-way thing. He desires us; and that deep inner yearning for spirituality is our heart’s call for Him. How wonderful when those passions for each other meet.
