He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
The King James Version uses the word “manifest.” It can also be translated as: show, exhibit, reveal, and disclose. It is so strong that it implies a manifestation perceivable by the human senses. The Bible is full of examples—Moses and the burning bush, John who saw the risen Christ on the island of Patmos, the Apostle Paul who encountered the risen Jesus on the Road to Damascus. Do we dare seek for a closer relationship with God? Remember, God is ever the gentle one who woos and wins us and never runs over our boundaries. Lean into Him. Invite His “manifestation.”
