Philippians 1:6 (NLT) And I (Apostle Paul) am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
Great joy comes from knowing that, no matter what difficulties come our way, the Lord is at work within us grooming our hearts and leading us into spiritual growth and maturity despite it all. Of course, our rate of growth depends on how we choose to respond to adversity. We must learn how to anchor our souls in the promises of God and stand firm in faith. We must learn how to offload our fears through focused prayer and fasting. The true measure of our spiritual maturity surfaces in difficult times. We must encourage one another with the truth that Emmanuel (God with us) is present and will lead us through as we look to Him for direction. Outcomes may not be what we expect or necessarily want, but God gives grace to sustain us and through it all we can grow to the next level in our faith. God began a wonderful work in your heart on the day you crossed the line of faith in Jesus Christ. He is committed to finishing that work in you. Are you committed to letting Him do that?
