We are hardwired to connect with God and others. It is what gives purpose and meaning to our lives; and without it there is suffering. Connection is why we are here: connection upward with God first, then connection outward to others (spouse, children, etc.) Our connection to the Holy Spirit makes healthy connection with others possible. Churches that connect with the lost, forgotten under-resourced and under-served and that focus on developing strong bonds of love, connection, and belonging with their people—these are the churches that reflect God’s heart. Who do you know who seems to be disconnected these days? How can you gather them into your circles and build relational connections that will enable Christ’s love to flow healing to them?
