…We ask God to give you complete knowledge of His will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.
We are to increase in our knowledge of God because there is always more to discover about Him. The Bible is replete with Old Testament examples of His demand for justice in a fallen world where mankind yields to the basest of behaviors; but the New Testament focuses on His love and mercy and His deep desire to connect to individual human hearts. He is the source of peace, hope, love, and grace. And though the Church at large has not always represented Him well throughout various stages of history, it doesn’t change the fact that His nature is love. We believe in a merciful God who has gone to extremes to provide a pathway to salvation for all mankind. He is a God who loves everyone and desires to have loving relationships with each of us. Today, pray for God to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.
