Eternal life brings holiness.
John 17:17 (The Message) – Make them holy—consecrated—with the truth; your word is consecrating truth.
In a world permeated by relativism, how does a person live in truth? The Bible is God’s revelation of Himself to humanity and it is truth—eternal, unchanging, life-transforming, heart convicting, blessed truth upon which we can build our lives (Matt. 7:24-27). The moment we hear the awful truth that humanity has been infected by sin and we feel the conviction of the Holy Spirit and face that reality and then respond by coming to Jesus for release from sin, one’s life changes forever. Jesus makes us holy. And that holiness continues to saturate every area of our lives as we read the Bible and apply it every day. Don’t let the word “holiness” scare you. It has power to bring wholeness into every area of your life. Let it influence you in your daily choices. It will mark your life in ways that will stand in stark contrast to the standards of our day and age. “You are clean through the word which I have spoken to you” (John 15:3).
