II Corinthians 10:5 (NIV) We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
We have about 30,000 thoughts a day. What if we took just one thought captive? “What if one thought held the power to interrupt our downward spirals and bring peace to our mental chaos?” What if we lived aware of the power of Christ in us? What if we stopped being distracted by all the things playing in the background and focused fully on Jesus? We have the God-given power to edit our thoughts. We don’t have to live as victims led by wild emotions and chaotic thoughts. The peace of God can rule in our hearts and minds (Phil. 4:7).
