Acts 27:25 (MSG—read the whole chapter) So, dear friends, take heart. I believe God will do exactly what He told me.
Paul was under arrest and being escorted by Roman soldiers via ship to Rome. He was not in control of his life. He was subject to the will and direction of the centurion. Paul’s warning had been overruled and disregarded. Soon the ship was caught in an unrelenting storm that blocked the sun and stars for many days and left everyone aboard emotionally, physically, and psychologically drained of hope. But God had His eye on Paul because it was God’s will for Paul to stand before Caesar and give witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Today Rome is a city that honors this great Apostle, but then it was a place where he would be martyred. Can you believe God to work through any circumstance to bring His will to pass through your life? What has the Lord said to you lately? How are you holding up in the “dark nights” of this Covid virus? How are you finding comfort in the Lord’s word? How are you carrying out His mission and caring for others?
