James 1:19 (NLT) Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.
Our speech and our actions must be consistent with what we believe and know to be true in God’s Word. Wisdom lies in learning to listen carefully, speaking only after much thought, and resisting the human tendency to act out of anger. A tsunami of images and words and emotionally charged behavior has come our way over the past several months. Learn to listen. Be slow to anger. Let God do His work of righteousness in our hearts. Love one another. There is strength in the Lord.
