Ecclesiastes 7:20 (NLT) Not a single person on earth is always good and never sins.
Face the reality—even the person you love the most is imperfect. He or she will eventually fail you or hurt you in some way. It might be a not-so-serious way (like forgetting your birthday) or a more serious way (like engaging an addiction). Even the best people can make mistakes. What then? Usually the relationship is harmed. Sin always alienates us from one another. We withdraw and seek personal safety. We engage in coping skills: deny reality, make excuses, retaliate in anger. Or we can learn from the Bible that no failure in a relationship has to permanently destroy that relationship if forgiveness is part of your life. Forgiveness is the foundational beam for this thing called Christianity. Remember, nobody is perfect (even you). Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you (Eph. 4:32).
