Hebrews 11:6 (NLT)
And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.
The Bible makes no attempt to prove God’s existence. The writers assume He exists and expect people to believe it by faith. Anyone who comes to Him “must believe that He exists.” But people will not put their faith in someone in whom they don’t believe. Read Genesis 1, and you will see it is full of God’s activity but provides no proof. It is our prerogative to draw near and discover the wonders of God, or to withdraw and resist—or to ask questions and search for conclusive answers. Philosophers and theologians have much to say. This week, we will take a closer look at some of the examined evidence for God’s existence. This will help you explain your belief to those who do not believe in Him. As we share our faith through respectful, rational conversations, we can build relational bridges that open to deeper conversations about life, death, and how to connect faith with life.
