Daniel 9:5 (MSG) “We have sinned in every way imaginable. We’ve done evil things, rebelled, dodged, and taken detours around your clearly marked paths. . . (v. 9) Compassion is our only hope. . .
God is calling us to intercessory prayer before His throne. Like Daniel, we must identify with the sins of those for whom we pray. Are you praying for our country during these difficult days? And are you praying for our missionaries who are laboring in poverty-stricken places around the world where Covid is devastating entire communities of people who don’t have access to the simplest forms of medical care? Are you praying for hearts to be awakened to the love of Jesus Christ as it is demonstrated through our compassionate care to those in need? Are you praying that hearts turn toward Jesus in these days when people feel isolated, lonely, lost, and forgotten? It is time for intercessors to hear the call of the Holy Spirit and follow Him to a solitary place to stand before Heaven’s throne to fast and pray. Let us follow Daniel’s example. Let’s go to the Lord!
