Hebrews 4:12 (NLT)
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
The Lord “knocks” (Rev. 3:20) on our heart’s door in diverse ways. First and foremost, He knocks as we read the Word. He also knocks by His Spirit (I Corinthians 14:22-25). He knocks through a sense of need (John 7:37). He knocks by His drawing (John 6:44). He knocks through conviction (Acts 7:51). And finally, He knocks by supernatural phenomena (Exodus 3:2-4). How has He knocked on your heart’s door through the years? How did you respond?
