Exodus 3:7 (NIV) The LORD said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.”
God revealed Himself to Moses as a compassionate God who is cognizant of the plight of his people whose affliction He sees, whose cry He hears, and whose sorrows He knows. When God looks across our world today, He sees the tears of the motherless child, the fears of the aged and sick. He grieves over the warfare between people groups and the senseless killings of unborn babies. The Holy Spirit monitors every heartbeat, every tear. And if God’s children are listening, we will be moved with that same compassion. Let God lead you to be His hand extended to hurting people today.
