Romans 12:10 (NIV) Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.
Businesses that make the most difference in this world allow space for connection. Families that prioritize connection are the strongest: in the form of transparent conversations, in the form of honest living (no masks), and in the form of quality time spent together. Do we recognize the importance of simply “hanging out” together with friends? Do we make room in our busy lives for new friends? The kinds of conversations that emerge between people who trust each other can be deep and meaningful and healing. Our conversations bring perspective and understanding and create bonds of friendship that make us healthier people. Could it be that those in our society whom we hear most about on the news each night with mental health problems and lawless behavior are folks who are disconnected and wounded? God’s #1 priority is reconciliation (with Him and with others). Keep that in mind as you move through your day. Watch for those who seem lonely and disconnected. Strike up a conversation. Honor them with your time & attention.
