Lamentations 3:26 (KJVS)
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord. (The Message: It’s a good thing to quietly hope, quietly hope for help from God.)
HOW we wait before God is important. We must wait hopefully, “with quiet and unwavering confidence in the ultimate response of God.” He will come to us when we are sufficiently prepared to hear what He wants to say and to receive what He wants to give. He wants us to wait lovingly (I Corinthians 2:9 – No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.) “Our waiting should not be the waiting of a selfish beggar, but the waiting of a yearning lover.” God reveals Himself to us through the Holy Spirit. January is an excellent time to for seeking God. Spend extra time in prayer. Say nothing. Posture your heart in hope and love. He will come to you.
