Proverbs 8:17 (NIV)
I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me. (NLT – those who search will surely find me.) (The Message – those who look for me find me.)
We must seek the Lord preferentially. “Those who desire Him in preference to anything else” will find Him. Revival comes to those who love to linger in that holy waiting space. Revival comes when a group of people prioritize time with the Lord above all else and open their hearts for Him to do whatever He wants to do–rearrange their priorities, heal deep wounds of the soul, deliver from bad habits that are deeply ingrained–whatever. When a growing group of people are willing to open themselves fully to the Lord and give Him freedom to inhabit and reorder their lives–that is when revival starts to break forth and change comes to a church, a city, a region, a nation. God prepare our hearts, I pray.
