James 1:3-4 (NLT) For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
Trials come to every follower of Jesus Christ. It’s not a matter of “if” but “when”. James teaches us the benefit that is possible from such difficulties if we will learn to believe God, believe and not doubt (vs. 6 NIV), in the heat of the struggle. Our faith must be rooted in God, not in people or circumstances. God is our source—for wisdom, provision, everything we need. Have you learned this important lesson? Root your faith in God, who is omnipotent (all powerful). He will walk with you and talk with you every step of the way. You will learn more about His undivided attention and love for you than you ever would if life was free from challenges. Choose joy. Choose trust. God is near.
