Psalm 119:12 (MSG) Be blessed, God; train me in your ways of wise living.
Can you discern the Divine Presence in daily experiences? “Changing life situations—some desirable and others definitely less so—provide important opportunities to better know both God and ourselves. Each gives us a chance to examine where God is in that experience and what gifts God is offering for our growth.” God wants to meet us in the mundane and familiar parts of regular life. We must learn to “unmask the Divine in the natural and name the presence of God in our lives . . . It is relatively easy to meet God in moments of joy or bless. The challenge is to know God’s presence in the midst of doubt, depression, anxiety, conflict, or failure.” (p. 41) Do we live aware of God’s Presence? This is the core of the spiritual journey—learning to discern the presence of God and see what really is. Train me in your ways, Lord.
