Acts 27:23 (MSG) “Last night God’s angel stood at my side, an angel of this God I serve, saying to me, ‘Don’t give up, Paul. You’re going to stand before Caesar yet—and everyone sailing with you is also going to make it.’”
Paul did not stand in the storm and rebuke the winds and the waves like Jesus did on the Galilee with his despairing disciples. The Holy Spirit led Paul to a different action—to stand before the sailors in courage and faith. God had a destiny for Paul—he would stand before Caesar. And God has a destiny for each one of us. Will we stand strong in faith and hope during these tough times? Will you activate courage that defies the inevitability of your current situation and look into your future knowing that God has a plan that is not defined by any storm swirling around you? God did not silence the storm. He rescued the people in spite of the storm because Paul had work to be done. And so do you!
