The devil had already put into the heart of Judas to betray Jesus. Think of it: Jesus offered His service in spite of His full knowledge of Judas’ coming betrayal and the coming denial by Peter. “Notwithstanding treachery and cowardice on the part of men and professed followers, Jesus offered divine love freely and spontaneously.”His is the kind of love that cannot be quenched by evil.
