Psalm 103:2 (NIV) Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits…
(MSG) …don’t forget a single blessing!
When life gets tough, it is especially important to remember all the Lord’s blessings rather than the trials. It takes intentionality to choose gratitude instead of grumbling. It takes determination to count your blessings and keep walking one resolute step after another while going through physical (or emotional or spiritual) therapy. Don’t sit down and curl up into a fetal position and just hope for the best. Live in praise and worship. Give the “sacrifice of praise” (Heb. 13:15). God hears your worship, and it is precious to Him. You are learning to develop an attitude of gratitude. It enables the growth of the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22) in your soul. How can you keep a healthy perspective? Fix your focus on Jesus (Heb. 12:2) and never forget the good things He does for you (NLT).
