Psalm 91:4 (NIV) – He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart (protection).
Read the promises throughout this Psalm: He will cover you. He will save you. He will shield you. His angels will guard you. These are comforting truths when life becomes a busy blur and we have to adjust our normal routines to accommodate special circumstances. God saves and shields us every day in ways that we do not see—the delay at the airport that kept you from becoming part of an accident scene; the person you ran into unexpectedly who gave you a piece of important information that kept you from making a bad business decision; the serendipitous adjustment to your schedule that enabled you to be in the right place at the right time for a God-ordained encounter with someone special. No harm will befall you, His angels will guide you—these are comforting truths that save us from the debilitating effects of stress-related worries and fears. Return to this psalm often. It will bring you great peace as you remember to rest in God’s shelter of protection.
