Luke 22:31-32 (NIV) – “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
We can strengthen others in the faith when they are under satanic attack. We can intercede for them in prayer—and we must resist Satan, standing firm in the faith (I Peter 5:8-11). Our brothers and sisters around the world are experiencing the “same kind of sufferings” (vs. 9). But God has promised that He will restore us and make us strong, firm and steadfast if we will hold firmly to our faith in Satan’s firestorms of life. We are not alone. We must live self-controlled and alert (vs. 8). Do you know someone in Satan’s crosshairs today? Pray for them. Are you experiencing physical, emotional, or spiritual attacks today? “Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).
