II Chronicles 20:22
(NLT) – At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the Lord caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves. (CEV) – As soon as they began singing, the Lord confused the enemy camp.
(GNT) – When they began to sing, the Lord threw the invading armies into panic.
Enemy armies had come against God’s people to take their land. In a similar way, we have a very real enemy who is determined to sabotage what God is doing in us and through us. Worship is critically important! It is like a secret weapon to scatter the enemy of our souls. As we worship and praise the Lord, He goes to battle for us. “Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours but God’s” (20:15). What battle are you fighting today? How is the enemy of your soul coming against you? Lift your eyes to the Lord. Fast and pray (vs. 4). Declare His Lordship over your life. Then start to worship with all your heart and watch the enemy run!
