Exodus 19:8 (NIV) And all the people responded together, “We will do everything the Lord has commanded.”
The Children of Israel did not know the true state of their hearts. Though they declared their consecration, their actions throughout their wilderness journey revealed a never-ending tendency to disobey the Lord and complain about everything. Nevertheless, the Lord led them and kept them and protected them like a father for his children listening for faith to take root and transform them into a mighty army of God. How do you interpret life around you? Do you find God’s perspective—a redemptive point of view? Or do you always see the glass half-empty and interpret life with a victim mentality. Choose to live in faith, in hope, in joy, in love. Jesus will show you how.
