Peter was in mid-sentence with his foolish response when the “overshadowing” cloud enveloped them. God interrupted. Can you point to God’s “interruptions” in your own life? You were headed one direction in thought and action, but God stepped in with words so important that they course corrected your life! Jesus took these three disciples up that mountain because they would be key players in the Kingdom work ahead and they needed to be anchored in a reality greater than their own. His ways are higher than ours, His thoughts higher than ours (Is. 55:9). Are you willing to let go of your own thoughts and ways in order to embrace His?
