John 14:27 (NLT)
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
These were some of Jesus’ last words to His disciples before His crucifixion. He encouraged them because they were fearful of being left alone and helpless. He offered to them His peace. When going through a difficult life experience of sickness or grief or relational heartache, have you found the peace of God? It is part of our spiritual inheritance in Jesus (Phil 4:7) and it transcends any other kind of peace we have experienced because it is supernatural. It will “guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus” (Phil 4:7 NLT). That’s God’s provision for stabilizing your emotions and thoughts. Invite the Holy Spirit to unpack this truth and give you His peace today.
